Visit Tonti's
Welcome
Tonti Elementary School is a neighborhood school who focuses on academic success for every student. It's programs include four accelerated classes in grades 1-5 through the comprehensive gifted program, which uses technology daily to create projects, write book reviews, and engage in high-level research. Tonti's school choir has performed at the Chicago Cultural Center and Tonti students have placed in the top three category of the Academic Bowl Area Competition.
Tonti School strives to build a sense of community in the school and partners with United Neighborhood Organization, Midway Family Center and other community organizations to achieve this goal. Teachers have been awarded numerous grants and teacher-of-the-year honors.

Together we will provide a safe and nurturing environment that fosters the development of life-long learners who are self motivated, inquisitive, creative, ethical, and responsible citizens.Our Vision
Tonti School's vision is to promote academic excellence, self-confidence, multi-cultural awareness and team building. Through the use of data analysis, collaboration, and a rigorous curriculum enhanced by the arts and sciences, students will leave Tonti prepared to seek and take advantage of the opportunities available to them in their academic lives and beyond.
